Animated Music Video for the Dimestore Dolls

The song “Down to Mechanics” by the Dimestore Dolls tells the story of someone who on paper should be a perfect fit but in reality, everything is wrong. To animate the video, we imagined a comic-book inspired look with limited, jerky-type movement of a Frankenstein-esque creature who comes to life, rises up and gazes upon a skyscraper in the distance, thinking it’s his true love. As the mechanical monster gets closer, he realizes it’s all been a terrible mistake…and disaster ensues.
