Complex Configuration
Made Simple
Perry Weather came to us with an industry-leading weather-safety platform and a surprisingly difficult sales challenge: how do you make a highly technical mix of hardware, sensors, connectivity and software easy for a buyer to understand quickly? They chose Zookeeper because of our animation capabilities and our ability to take complicated systems and turn them into clear, compelling visual experiences. The starting point was intentionally unglamorous: a flat product PDF, CAD drawings and a lot of technical information.
This experience was built to be explored at full size. To see the 360° product views, configurations, animation and interface working together as intended, open the full interactive configurator: Launch the Weather Station Configurator
Interactive Tech for
Sales Momentum
The goal was to transform those materials into an interactive configuration experience that could live on Perry Weather’s website and become a tool for the sales team, helping prospects explore the system, understand how the pieces work together and see the value of different configurations without relying on a static document or lengthy explanation. The challenge was as much strategic as technical: simplify a complex product without oversimplifying it, preserve accuracy while making it intuitive and create an experience strong enough to help move sales conversations forward.
Built From
Every Angle
We rebuilt Perry Weather’s hardware from the original CAD drawings inside Blender, working to match the real machines as closely as possible while giving them the polish needed to shine on screen. That meant dialing in materials, finishes, proportions and lighting so the product felt precise, premium and unmistakably real. Just as important, the models were built to be fully explorable, allowing users to rotate the system 360 degrees and inspect it from any angle. From there, we created dozens upon dozens of configurations so the experience could reflect the enormous variety of ways Perry’s hardware can be assembled, combined and sold. The result was not a single 3D model, but a flexible visual system capable of showing the product exactly the way a customer might need to see it.
Weather
In Motion
To make the configurator feel more immersive, we built video of real weather conditions directly into the background experience. Wind, precipitation, tornadoes, flash flooding, severe thunderstorms, WBGT heat, heat index conditions and PA messaging all became part of the visual system. As users move through different alert states, the environment around the product changes with them. That makes the experience feel less like a static product demo and more like seeing the system operate in the conditions it was built to handle.
One Plugin
Instantly Everywhere
We packaged the entire experience as a WordPress plugin so Perry’s team could install it quickly without rebuilding their site or managing a complicated deployment. Once added, the configurator works as a self-contained experience across desktop, tablet and mobile, making it easy for the client to launch, maintain and use wherever the sales conversation happens.
